Most yards don't have a design problem - they have a planning problem. Plants get thrown in without much thought, mulch gets dumped, and a few seasons later it looks like nothing was ever intentional to begin with. That's exactly what we set out to fix with this kind of work.

What we do starts with a real plan. We think about how the bed will flow, what plants will thrive in the space, how the scale of everything works together, and how to keep it looking sharp without a ton of maintenance. Ornamental grasses, shrubs, small accent trees - each plant has a purpose and a place.

The mulching side of it matters just as much as the plant selection. Fresh, dark mulch ties the whole bed together and does real work - it holds moisture, keeps weeds down, and gives the planting a finished, intentional look. Clean edges where the bed meets the lawn are what separates a polished install from a sloppy one. We don't cut corners there.

Natural boulders worked into the design add something you just can't fake with small rocks or plastic edging. They ground the space and give it a sense of permanence. Paired with a mix of evergreen shrubs and ornamental grasses, the result is a bed that looks great across seasons and doesn't demand constant attention to stay that way.

That's what good custom landscape design delivers - something that fits the yard, works with what's already there, and holds up. Whether it's a full backyard install or a single problem bed that needs a real solution, we build it to last.
